DMA enters into 5 year agreement with Florida Department of Children and Families
As of the beginning of 2015, the Florida’s Department of Children and Families will be offering its Circuits a range of Safe and Together model-based training and case consultation consistent with the new Safety Methodology. All the training curricula were developed to support and integrate the Safety Methodology, recent statute changes, the expansion of the FCADV funded co-located domestic violence advocates and on-going collaboration between child welfare and domestic violence advocates. The trainings also include video clips, developed specifically for Florida DCF and FCADV, which model interviewing children, perpetrators and survivors; supervisory conversations and consultation with co-located domestic violence advocates.
The following is one of the documents created specifically designed to help with the integration of the Safe and Together model with the Six Domains of information at the core of the Safety Methodology. These Six Domains are central to the assessment process in Oregon and other states.
